Seasons
There are
twoseasons, the rainy and the dry season. Many hotels
are closed in April and May.
The rest of year, you can enjoy average temperatures around of 28°C and a permanent light
breeze. The seawater temperature is at 24°C, and even warmer inside the lagoon.

Air travel
information
- KLM (in association with Kenya Airways) and South African Airways are landing at Zanzibar airport.
- British Airways, Swiss, South African, Emirates, are landing at Dar es Salaam. Very frequent connections to Zanzibar by air (15') or boat (1h15').
- The high season is in July - August and Christmas time.

Travel documents
A valid passport and entry visa issued by the Tanzania Embassy
or upon entry at the airport.
Health Compulsory international vaccination card attesting to immunisation for yellow fever. During your stay : anti-malaria medication. Please consult your doctor.

Local currency
The local currency is the Tanzanian Shilling (Tsh) available in all "Bureau de Change", at free market rates.

Shopping You can buy souvenirs in Stone Town, as well as food at the local market and in three supermakets. Altough all basic needs are catered for in our fishermen village.

Transport (optional) A minivan, with our experienced driver Bwana Baker, is at the disposal of our guets.
This gentleman is an Official Guide and will be delighted to take you on tours round the island and to provide any and all assistance for your shopping and other needs (such as finding an Internet Café).
